An easy, no-fail recipe for American-style pancakes. Light, fluffy, and delicious pancakes that are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or Pancake Day. Best served with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh fruit.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Serves: 4.<\/p>\n

Ingredients for the pancakes:<\/u><\/p>\n

• 2 cups (300 g) plain\u00a0flour, sifted<\/li>\n
• 2 large eggs<\/li>\n
• 1.5 cup (375 ml) milk<\/li>\n
• 75 g butter, melted<\/li>\n
• 3 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n
• 3 heaped\u00a0Tbsp sugar<\/li>\n
• a pinch of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  In a medium bowl, lightly whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter. Add the sifted flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Using a fork or a balloon whisk, stir until smooth.<\/p>\n

  Cook in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat, adding a small knob of butter or 1 tsp of oil if needed. Fry on both sides until risen and golden brown, turning when lots of tiny bubbles appear and start to pop on the surface.<\/p>\n

  Serve hot with maple syrup, honey, fresh fruit, or your favourite toppings.<\/p>\n
