Better still, if you already have a sheet of frozen puff pastry or Danish pastry in the freezer, they can be prepared in no time at all :).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Makes 10\u201312 pastries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients for the puff pastry rhubarb tarts:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>375 g all-butter puff pastry (1 sheet), fresh or frozen<\/li>\n<li>2\u20133 medium rhubarb stalks<\/li>\n<li>a few tablespoons of sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Additionally:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water, for glazing<\/li>\n<li>icing sugar, for dusting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lightly flour your work surface and place the puff pastry on top. If using frozen pastry, thaw it first. Allow the pastry to come to room temperature before using, as this helps prevent excessive shrinking during baking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cut the pastry into 10 equal squares. Toss the rhubarb pieces in sugar so that the sugar coats them evenly. Arrange the rhubarb in the centre openings of the pastries.
