\nOreo ice cream is a simple ice cream made with the popular Oreo cookies. You can also use your favourite cookies or chocolate instead. Without the cookies, it becomes a delicious classic ice cream, perfect for serving with your favourite sweet sauces.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\nMakes 1.5 litres.<\/span><\/p>\nIngredients for Oreo ice cream:<\/span><\/p>\n\n- 400 g sweetened condensed milk, chilled<\/li>\n
- 600 ml double cream chilled<\/li>\n
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n
- 300 g Oreo cookies, roughly broken into pieces (reserve some for the top)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Place the chilled condensed milk, double cream and vanilla extract into a large bowl or the bowl of a mixer. Whip until a thick and fluffy. Add the crushed Oreo cookies and gently fold them in with a spatula.<\/p>\n
Transfer the mixture into a container, sprinkling the reserved Oreo pieces over the top. Cover and place in the freezer for about 4 hours.
\nBefore serving, leave the ice cream at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften slightly.<\/p>\n
