Surprise your family or guests with these charming little apple pies \u2013 they&#8217;re guaranteed to impress :).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Makes 6 pastries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients for mini puff pastry apple pies:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>1 sheet all-butter puff pastry (approximately 320 g)<\/li>\n<li>2 large cooking apples*<\/li>\n<li>30 g butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons sugar<\/li>\n<li>\u00be teaspoon ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator and place it on the work surface. If using frozen pastry, transfer it to the refrigerator the day before to thaw.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cut the pastry into strips approximately 2 cm wide. Slice each apple into 4 thick rounds and remove the core from each slice. Wrap each apple slice with 2 strips of puff pastry, trimming the pastry as needed to fit the apple. Then wrap 2 additional strips across the first layer to create a criss-cross pattern. Press the ends together underneath the pastry. Repeat with the remaining apple slices, joining shorter pastry strips together if necessary. Arrange the pastries on a baking tray lined with baking parchment. Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle with the sugar mixed with the cinnamon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bake at 210\u00b0C for approximately 25 minutes. Halfway through baking, loosely cover the pastries with aluminium foil if they are browning too quickly. Remove from the oven and serve warm, if desired, with yoghurt or whipped cream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">*Choose firm cooking apples that hold their shape during baking. In Poland, traditional varieties such as Szara Reneta and Anton\u00f3wka are excellent choices. In the UK, varieties such as Cox&#8217;s Orange Pippin or other firm cooking apples work particularly well.
