It is usually made from fruit compote thickened with potato starch. Homemade kisiel \u2014 a soft, drinkable fruit jelly \u2014 is very easy to prepare; you simply mix the ingredients together. And the result? A mug of warm homemade bilberry kissel\u2026 though it\u2019s just as delicious served cold.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients (1 serving):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bd cup blueberries<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup water<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp potato starch<\/li>\n<li>a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Combine the bilberries with the sugar, lemon juice and most of the water (reserve a little for later) in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mix the potato starch with the remaining water until smooth. Pour it into the bilberries, stirring quickly to avoid lumps.
