Adorable gingerbread people macarons just in time for Christmas! Although I don’t expect many of you to be baking macarons at the very last minute before the holidays, they’re a lovely way to decorate your festive table or spend some creative time decorating with children.
Blackcurrant-coloured macarons filled with a silky blackcurrant curd enriched with Crème de Cassis liqueur. The vibrant and sweet purple shells contrast beautifully with the lightly tangy filling, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and fruitiness.
Red Velvet macarons were inspired by the famous American Red Velvet Cake. Of course, they must be a deep red colour and filled with a lightly salted Philadelphia cream cheese frosting. Delicious!
