Chocolate Easter nests are a fun way to keep children busy during holiday preparations. All you need to do is give them plenty of space to work, provide the ingredients and… leave them for an hour or two. I guarantee happy, smiling faces covered in chocolate! And who knows — maybe it will be fun for you too?
Makes 6–8 nests.
Ingredients for the chocolate Easter nests:
- 100 g dark, plain or milk chocolate, melted in a heatproof bowl over simmering water
- cereal sticks (small stick-shaped breakfast cereal)
- mini chocolate eggs with a sugar shell
Dip the cereal pieces into the melted chocolate (or add them directly to the bowl and mix). Place small portions onto baking paper, shaping them into little nests.
Leave until the chocolate has set, then fill the centres with the mini chocolate eggs.
Enjoy!
