Delicious, soft chocolate cookies filled with Nutella… Sometimes you don’t need much to know, even before baking, that a recipe is going to be a winner. That was certainly the case here. Quick and easy to make, yet the result completely won us over. Absolutely delicious!
Makes approximately 25 cookies.
Ingredients for the chocolate Nutella cookies:
- 115 g butter
- 60 g light muscovado sugar
- 1 egg
- 75 g plain flour
- 25 g cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 115 g rolled oats
All ingredients should be at room temperature.
Place the butter and sugar into the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix until fully incorporated. Add the flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and oats, then mix until combined.
Shape the dough into balls about the size of a small walnut and place them well apart on baking trays lined with baking parchment. Flatten them slightly. Using your thumb (or the end of a wooden spoon handle), make an indentation in the centre of each cookie.
Bake at 180°C for approximately 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
Once cooled, fill each cookie with Nutella using a teaspoon or a piping bag fitted with a decorative nozzle.
Additionally:
- 5–6 tablespoons Nutella
Enjoy!
