
Kale paired with green apple – a combination that’s hard to resist. It smells wonderful and tastes just as good :). This kale, apple and kiwi smoothie is packed with goodness – a perfect way to start the day. You can also use spinach instead of kale. If you have your own favourite kale smoothie, feel free to share your favourite combinations!
Serves 2.
Ingredients for kale, apple and kiwi smoothie:
- 70 g kale (about 2 leaves)
- 1 kiwi, peeled
- 1½ green apples (e.g. Granny Smith), cored
- ½ cup apple juice
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup
- a few ice cubes
Remove the tough stems from the kale. Core the apples and peel the kiwi. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
