Strawberry sorbet is light, intensely fruity, refreshing and… low in calories ;). Frozen strawberry purée with the addition of lemon juice, which helps the sorbet retain its vibrant colour. A strawberry sensation!
Makes 1 litre.
Ingredients for strawberry sorbet:
- 800 g strawberries
- 160 g sugar (or less, depending on the sweetness of the fruit)
- 80 ml lemon juice
- 15 ml vodka
Blend all the ingredients for the strawberry sorbet (for example, in a blender), then chill the mixture in the refrigerator. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and proceed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Transfer to a container and place in the freezer for a few hours.
The sorbet can also be made without an ice cream maker – whip the chilled mixture, pour it into a container and place it in the freezer. During freezing, blend it approximately every 30 minutes for the first 3 hours to prevent ice crystals from forming and to keep the sorbet fluffy. Freeze until firm.
Enjoy!
