
A wonderfully refreshing strawberry and pineapple smoothie – at this time of year, best made with frozen strawberries. Ideally, use freshly squeezed orange juice, but any good-quality fresh orange juice (not from concentrate) will work just as well. A perfect start to the day!
Serves 2.
Ingredients for the strawberry and pineapple smoothie:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup chopped pineapple
- ½ cup natural or Greek yoghurt
- ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup or maple syrup
Peel the pineapple, remove the core and cut the flesh into chunks. Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
