Pistachio marzipan hearts

Marzipan hearts with pistachios — more of an idea than a recipe. They look absolutely delightful and taste just as good. Perfect as a homemade gift, and if you love marzipan as much as I do, you’re bound to fall for them!

Ingredients for the marzipan hearts:

  • 250 g marzipan
  • 50 g pistachios (unsalted), chopped + extra for decoration
  • 100 g milk or dark chocolate, melted (for coating)

Knead the marzipan together with the chopped pistachios until evenly combined. Roll it out quite thickly, lightly dusting with icing sugar to prevent sticking. Cut out small heart shapes using a cookie cutter.

Place the hearts on a wire rack. Dip them in the melted chocolate or simply coat the tops, then decorate with extra pistachios.
