
Absolutely irresistible. If, like me, you love all things pistachio, you simply have to try this recipe. To make this milkshake, alongside the usual essentials such as milk and ice cubes, you’ll need vanilla ice cream and pistachio paste (which is easy to make at home). For a more vibrant green colour, I added a generous pinch of matcha powder, although it is entirely optional. A deliciously creamy dessert for hot summer days :).
Makes 2 servings.
Ingredients for pistachio milkshake:
- 200 ml milk
- 220 g vanilla ice cream
- 80 g pistachio paste (100% pistachios)
- 70 g ice cubes
- 1 g matcha powder (a generous pinch), optional
Optional toppings:
- whipped cream
- pistachio cream
- chopped pistachios
Place all the milkshake ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into serving glasses. Serve immediately, topped with whipped cream, drizzled with pistachio cream and sprinkled with chopped pistachios, if desired.
